October News
Happy October! We have been working hard in fourth grade. In math we are working on estimating and rounding numbers, as well as learning about factors and multiples of whole numbers. Our next chapter will be about learning how to multiply and divide large numbers. With that said, it is so important that your child learns and practices math facts daily. In reading we are finishing up our Core novel, Yolonda’s Genius and will be moving on to literature circles. Literature circles are small groups where the students choose a book to read and discuss. Please make sure your child does extra reading at home. The more a child reads, the better reader he/she will become. As a reminder, uniforms must be worn daily. The acceptable uniform is navy blue or white collared shirts, with navy blue or khaki bottoms. All hoodies and sweaters must be solid white or navy. Also, please be sure that your child completes his/her homework nightly. Please check that all homework is completed and that it is neat. We thank you for your continued support.
